Have you been spending countless hours in the gym getting your body sculpted and toned this year? We certainly haven’t! While we love morning workouts for starting the day feeling invigorated, with so many other obligations to tend to it doesn’t always happen. Regardless of how often you work out, a sculpted look can still be difficult to achieve. But if you are eager to enter spring with a trimmer, more toned physique, now is the time to consider an effective, proven body sculpting procedure.
What is Body Sculpting?
Body sculpting, also referred to as body contouring, includes a range of aesthetic procedures, both surgical and non surgical, intended to reshape the appearance of your body. These procedures are typically focused on removing fatty deposits and/or muscle toning in different areas of the body.
Non invasive sculpting treatments, such as CoolTone, are becoming more and more popular due to the lack of downtime, good results and the overall cost associated with them. Additionally, a muscle building treatment like CoolTone has another side effect - fat reduction. Keep reading to see if CoolTone may be the best treatment for you.
Non-Invasive Body Sculpting with CoolTone
Did you know that after the age of 30, your body can lose up to 5% of muscle per decade? While continued exercise and a healthy diet will help keep some of your muscles strong, the normal aging process, including extra fat and less collagen production in the skin, can leave areas like the abdomen, butt and thighs looking weak and flabby. Building and toning muscles also becomes more difficult. Fortunately, now is the perfect time to get started on a body sculpting plan that we know gets results. The maker of CoolSculpting, Allergan, developed a revolutionary system called CoolTone to stimulate and enhance natural muscle tightening in a short time frame. The best part about this body sculpting procedure is that there’s no downtime, it’s non-invasive, and you can be in and out in less than an hour.
How Does The CoolTone Treatment Work?
CoolTone uses FDA-approved Magnetic Muscle Stimulation, or MMS technology. The small, comfortable CoolTone device is securely placed on your abdomen or buttocks, while you lie on a padded table in our center. Our experienced technician will monitor the magnetic power to suit your needs and you simply lie down and feel the pulling force of the magnets contracting your muscles. The device’s powerful MMS technology penetrates through the skin and fat cells and targets only the muscle layer, inducing involuntary muscle contractions. Because muscles are good conductors for the magnets used in the CoolTone device, they trigger mini contractions which prompt muscle tension and growth. These contractions are what builds muscle, just like doing a sit-up, only much faster, more intense and with no effort on your part! While there is no pain, you’ll feel the contraction, and may be slightly sore like the day after a tough workout.
Just like doing a tough ab exercise or heavy squat, your body will respond to these contractions by strengthening muscle fibers. After your series of treatments, typically four over a 2-3 week period, the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs are firmer and have a more defined and toned appearance. Think of a CoolTone treatment as the equivalent of six months of intense, daily exercising in a small series of 30-minute sessions. It is technology and science coming together to systematically strengthen and tone muscles!
Will Body Contouring with CoolTone Work for Me?
Many of our patients appreciate the extra “boost” that non-invasive body sculpting gives them. By helping to improve muscle tone and definition, they report increased self-confidence in addition to making the most of their busy schedule. And if you have a little extra padding that’s getting in the way of muscle tone, we can address that as well. In fact, we’ve helped many of our clients with the one-two punch of CoolSculpting for fat removal and CoolTone for muscle definition. While CoolSculpting patients do best when they have extra layers of fat or padding around the tummy and thighs, CoolTone works best on bodies that are at their ideal weight, but have some problem areas, such as thighs, buttocks and the abdomen. The effective Magnetic Muscle Stimulation, or MMS, brings out those desirable muscle lines and definition. For best results, patients should commit to two treatments a week for 2-4 weeks. Each treatment typically lasts around 30 minutes. That's right, you can focus on sculpting your body while breaking for lunch from work.
CoolTone is Right for Me If...
- I’m at my baseline or desired body weight. I may not like the shape or tone, but I am comfortable with my size and not overweight.
- I can commit to about three, 30-minute sessions in a one month period.
- I’ve done CoolSculpting to get rid of my love handles and am ready to firm up the muscles.
- I’ve been working out and ready to take my muscles to the next level.
- I’ve recently undergone surgery or illness and don’t want to lose my muscle tone.
